American Diabetes Association Alert Day®External Web Site Policy, observed annually on the 4th Tuesday in March—Tuesday, March 27, 2012—is a one-day wake-up call to inform the American public about the seriousness of diabetes, particularly when diabetes is left undiagnosed or untreated.

In support of Diabetes Alert Day, NDEP is asking all Americans to take action. Here's how.

First: Take the Diabetes Risk Test

Could you have diabetes and not know it? Take this test to see if you are at risk for type 2 diabetes.

Next: Take Just One Step

Do you want to take steps to lower your chances of developing type 2 diabetes? Do you have diabetes and you want to lower your chances of developing health problems that come from having diabetes? We'll help you set a goal and take just one step to better health. Take just one step today.
